The Unseen Guest

Dear children, precious offspring of mine,

As you love to hear the ocean waves in the background of the night sky, so I adore hearing your voice even as you whisper my name, "Jesus," throughout your day.  I take complete notice of your informal and spontaneous conversations with me as you meander and go about your business. It is a beautiful sound to me, a sound that I love to hear. I never miss a word that you speak, whisper or cry out as you call on me.

The dialogue we share: unscripted, unwritten but ongoing, is proof to me of your great love and awareness of my presence, which is ever with you.  I go wherever you go and I know that though I'm an unseen guest, I have the best seat in the house.  You honor me as the One that you won't leave home without and as the "preferred" companion in your life. 

I want you to know that I love you and enjoy every moment that you invite me into or allow me to be a part of.  Your companionship has been my desire from before I created you; to be in union with you is the joy that was set before me when I went to the cross. EVERY DAY with you brings me great joy, even when things aren't going well and you are upset or not "yourself" because I AM included.  I wouldn't have it any other way! Even when you are faithless, I remain faithful. Even when your heart condemns you, I am greater than your heart and I know everything. I AM the glory and the lifter up of your head.
