About Theodora Guarino
My name is Theodora Guarino. I serve the Lord Jesus Christ, who holds my life in the palm of his hands. The Lord God is my Father and I am his daughter. These are my credentials. My hope is that this blog will be a gift of God to you.
“Moments with God" is divided between personal interactions I’ve had with the Lord and those of friends and family to whom I have ministered. As a situation is presented to me, I inquire of the Lord for wisdom and guidance as to how best I can encourage and speak into the lives of others. I basically share what the Holy Spirit shows me, endeavoring to share the heart of God. Of course, this is all filtered through human eyes. We all come to the table with our exclusive experiences, cultures, strengths, weaknesses and opinions. Clearly, I am fallible and my written perspectives are not to take the place of the Holy Scriptures. It is always best to test the spirits against the Word of God to insure that it lines up with the Truth.
My desire is that your life will be enriched, that you will become more intimate with the Lord and that he will become your best friend, if he isn’t’ already. Calmly put everything aside, humble yourself and listen to see if he has a message for you today. May you be touched, awakened, comforted and empowered as you visit this blog. May you hear him whispering, “I love you, my child, you are mine and I’ve been waiting for you.”
“What if things aren’t the way we see it? What if God is most happy and most pleased with his children who enjoy His creation and simply live in communication with Him at all times? What if all our accomplishments and narcissistic merits are not “all that” to God? What if His heart applauds the weak and frail individuals that praise Him daily for everything they have and can do? What if the lonely outcast gives Him pleasure by simply making Him his best friend and most, sought-out companion? What if the poor woman’s simple dinner shared with a beggar appears as a feast to the One who created it all? What if the perfect smile of a diva doesn’t light a candle to the crooked smile of an old, praying woman, in the eyes of the All-knowing One? What if the glowing face of a faithful, palace custodian, shines more brightly to the King of Kings than a prince in his regal robes and jewels? What if God sees through the outward appearance and into the heart through the inner person and her spirit? Would that spirit be large and full of Him or would it be skinny and selfish, with room for only her inside? What if a person’s value was dependent on how big God was in Him and how much of God’s love he had stored up inside, instead of what his occupation was, his accolades were or his bank account boasted of him? What if our value wasn’t all about us but rather all about Him? What if we stopped making everything about us and started making everything about Him? What if?”
