The Father’s Cry

image0.jpeg

Children,  it has been my desire since you were born to take you under my wings, to cover you, protect you and keep you safe.  There are times when you are so occupied with praying for what you want that you forget about what I want. It’s my joy to answer your prayers but my heart is to be a Father to you and for you to desire a mutual relationship with me. I want a family who loves to spend time with me that I might pour out my grace, mercy and wisdom on them.  A one way relationship never works for anyone.  But when both parties come together and communicate openly, they share their hearts with one another.

I long for you to follow me and my ways because they are good and will bring you life,  joy, and the satisfaction that you are looking for.  I want to be your refuge in times of trouble but it grieves me when my children only come to me when there is a problem.  It’s even more hurtful when I’m blamed for them, especially when there hasn’t been a mutual relationship all along.  How would you feel if your life partner wasn’t genuinely interested in you, rarely talked to you or sought to be with you? What if you were blamed for his or her problems and told you were unloving because you didn’t prevent them in the first place? Would you feel loved?

I want to be loved and I want to be first in your life.  When you invite my Son, Jesus, into your life, our relationship begins and I  feel loved.  You will never be alone again nor can you ever be lost once you are in me.   I am your home.
