Steadfast Strength
I have heard your humble desire to be strengthened in your heart. Be assured that this cry has been birthed by my Holy Spirit who longs to prepare you for what lies ahead. Your prayer sets my activity in motion. Therefore, you can rest securely knowing that I already have the answers you seek.
Through depending on me and stripping yourself of devotion to anything else , you become single minded. This is the first and most important key to becoming stronger. When you intentionally distinguish me from all others, I will distinguish you from all others as well. As my heir, you are MY delight; you are one of MY holy people.
Secondly, if you listen to me and yield to my ways, you will live in peace and security. This is a by-product of living in integrity. The righteousness of the blameless clears his path and rescues him from trouble.
Thirdly, be careful not to say what everyone else says and fear what everyone else fears. Do not come into agreement with it and in so doing allow yourself to be terrified. There are times when strengthening will come through your knowledge, both in the sense of stored wisdom and in the way of personal relationship with me.
In addition my child, I ask you to believe me; have faith in my promises. It will be credited to you for righteousness. Do not waiver in unbelief and you will be strengthened in your faith which will bring me glory.
Even during the most dangerous times of your life, remember that I am with you. Though you are in the presence of evil, I can banish the fear of it. You can enjoy my goodness even in the presence of your enemies. You can also have a faithful expectation of my goodness and mercy continuing throughout ALL the days of your life. My steady kindness, support and love can be counted on. As your Shepherd, I will always go before you and my mercy and kindness will escort you from behind.
Lastly, while in the valley of death, you will walk through it with me at your side; even death itself cannot destroy you. Dear child, I haven’t invited you to simply be a guest at my table but to live with you everyday, from the beginning of your relationship with me throughout eternity.
