Great Expectations

Do you know that the root word for amen comes from the Hebrew word, amana, translating into faith? It means certainty, truth, and “so be it.” To believe someone or something, and to be reliable or established is the essence of the amen at the end of your prayers.

It gives me such joy when you ask me what you think Jesus would pray if he were in your shoes or circumstance. Are you aware that amen is a reply of confirmation and an affirmative response to RECEIVING a blessing? Isn’t that wonderful? How would I not hear and respond to a prayer, which is in accordance with my will? This is why I long for you to be acquainted with all of my promises, so that you know how to pray.

And there’s more... the summit of the amen is a spiritual realm where all of my promises are guarded, managed, and attained. My promises are realized in this domain. The word, amana, can also be translated as a place of SETTLED SECURITY. Isn’t that what you long for, a place of true rest in your heart, where you are assured that I have heard your prayers? So enter this realm with faith, knowing that it is a place where all my promises are kept and come to fruition. Great prayers receive great answers.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life; he is God with us. He actually refers to himself as “The Amen.” ‘Amen’ at its root is a confirmation of truth, and all that is perfect and right. Who else but Christ Jesus could be the manifestation of amen?

My dear child, we’ve been together for quite a while and you are now ready to accompany me on a journey. I sense your anticipation already and I want you to know how much I love it when my children have great expectations! Will you climb with me to the highest peaks in the spirit realm? Will you come with me through the archway of trust? It is there where answers to prayer are birthed.
