Little Foxes

Show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely. Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom. My beloved is mine and I am his. (Song of Solomon 2:14-16) NIV

The enemy is always trying to come between us. He’s sly, deceitful and clever as a fox. Above all, he is a master deceiver. His desire is to crush you, to discredit me and to make you doubt my unfailing love for you. You are exclusively mine; do not allow any compromise or the difficulties of life to disrupt our intimacy.

Are there times when you feel oppressed and held captive by the words and actions of others? Be careful not to allow your identity to be formed by people and how they respond to you. I am your Father and I am doing a great work in your life. As you present yourself wholly to me, you are daily being changed into my likeness. Remind yourself of who I say you are; a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a son or daughter of the living God.

Do you find that when something goes wrong in your life, you respond by questioning whether I am angry at you? Furthermore, do you wonder whether I’m punishing you for something you did that you are displeased with yourself? If so, there’s more healing that needs to take place in your soul. Unknowingly, you’ve believed something about me that isn’t true, which needs to be rectified. My love will penetrate every area of shame, rejection and wounding which has bruised your heart.

The enemy seeks to steal the calling, dreams and visions that I’ve placed inside of you. He aims to remove all hope and good expectations that I desire for you. Grab those little foxes so they don’t trample our beautiful, blossoming relationship and take them down. Abide in me that I might rebuild your identity.

For every sin you’ve committed, I already paid the price. While the fox is shouting his accusations against you, I am solemnly and emphatically heralding your innocence and value. Never permit yourself to be negatively influenced by any voice which would tell you that I am not a good Father.

In this world you will have tribulations but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.(John 16:33) Ask me to show you the truth about how I see you today. Together, we will remove the hindrances which keep you from seeing yourself the way I see you.

The same way a loving father feels about his children, that’s but a sample of your tender feelings towards us, your beloved children who live in awe of you. You know all about us inside and out. You are mindful that we’re made from dust. (Ps.103:13-15) TPT
