Get Off the Fence
How long will my people wrestle and hesitate between two opinions? Don’t you know that it’s a snare to be divided in your soul? Half-hearted belief will short circuit your relationship with me. Make a decision about who’s side you are on and stand by it. Do not be tossed to and fro by various winds of doctrine and every report that enters your ears. But, stand on my Word and get off the fence ! Teetering and tottering is dangerous business and will leave you in a continual state of confusion and unrest. Believe me and believe my Word for every situation that arises in your life. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. I AM the same yesterday, today and forever; I change not. I will always be found true.
I long for you to be single minded and to serve me only. Do you understand that there’s a connection between obedience and blessing? Wavering and uncertainty are not characteristics of a loyal servant. If I’m telling you something repeatedly, don’t ignore it ! Believe that I am with you and wait for my word to come to pass. Your heart will be close to mine and your behavior and conversation will honor me as you express your faith in this manner.
There will be times of crisis, where I may not answer you when you desire. It doesn’t mean that I’m not working on responding to your prayers. But when I tell you to move, you must be obedient. I promised the Israelites a land flowing with milk and honey but it didn’t happen immediately. When the time did come for them to possess the land, they didn’t believe the Word that I had given them. They feared the people when they saw how strong they were instead of trusting me to fulfill my promise.
Similarly, if you hear what I say but don’t do it, you are foolish. My law and my Word expresses my will so there should be no confusion. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. You can believe in my Son but if you don’t do what he says you are moving in hypocrisy and speaking from behind a mask. Belief is wonderful but you must be changed.
My dear children, be Christ centered and not self centered by insisting on doing what you want. Have a humble attitude and live your life in tune with my will. It will be easy to make decisions and you will become a person of action if you do so.
